
NOLA Gamelab is focused on using games and extended reality (XR) for good. We are building on our experience in immersive education research and game development education to improve our community and the lives of others. Dr. Cuevas helped develop the SMU Guildhall graduate program in video game development.

Dr. Tony Cuevas has a PhD in Instructional Systems from FSU. He has experience as a teacher and researcher, including work at Southern Methodist University for 25 years where he recently retired as Assistant Dean for Technology & Innovation and Clinical Professor. Elijah Cusimano is Creative Director at NOLA Gamelab. Elijah is an avid gamer and loves helping others. He completed several courses at nonPareil in Dallas where her learned about game development and digital technology.
He inspires the work we do at NOLA Gamelab and leads our testing and QA work.
